Good to know

Frequently asked questions.

The questions families ask us most, answered simply.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
No. You can book directly with any of our specialists, by phone or through the patient portal. If your family doctor has referred you, bring the note along so we have the full picture, but it is not required.
Is painless (epidural) delivery safe?
Yes. Epidural analgesia is one of the most studied and trusted ways to ease labour pain, given by a qualified anaesthetist who stays with you. It eases the pain while keeping you alert and able to move through your delivery. Our team will talk you through whether it suits you.
What is a Level II NICU?
A Level II neonatal unit looks after newborns who need extra support, such as babies born a little early, those with feeding difficulties or mild breathing problems. It offers monitoring, warmth and feeding help around the clock, with paediatricians on hand to step in quickly if your baby needs more.
Do you accept Ayushman Bharat and insurance?
Yes. We are empanelled for Ayushman Bharat and work with most major health insurers for cashless treatment. Our front desk can check your eligibility and handle the paperwork before admission, so you can focus on your family.
Can I get my reports online?
Yes. Lab results, scan reports and prescriptions are added to your patient portal as soon as they are ready, so you can view and download them at home. If you would rather collect a printed copy, our reception team is always happy to help.
Is there 24/7 emergency cover?
Yes. Our emergency department and ICU are staffed day and night, every day of the year, with doctors ready for maternity, paediatric and general emergencies. In an urgent situation, call reception on 0194-2952223 or come straight in.
